A four-year-old boy who believes he has superpowers when he rides his Batman bicycle has been left upset after it was stolen from outside his nan’s house.
Luca Morse’s bike was in the boot of a silver Peugeot 206, registration plate WL06 KWJ, stolen from Gillingham Road in Winton, Eccles, in the early hours of Thursday 27 August.
The distinctive pushbike is a boys size 14, with Batman logo wheelcaps and a Joker bell on the front handlebars.
Dad-of-one Stuart Morse is asking for SalfordOnline.com reader’s help in keeping their eyes out in case the bike goes on sale near them.
Stuart said: “Everything he does revolves around Batman.
“He only got it for Christmas and he loves riding it around Winton Park.
“I didn’t have the heart to tell him it was gone until today.
“I tried explaining that I would buy him a new one but he told me that it wouldn’t be the same because it doesn’t have a ‘secret turbo button’.
Luca, who is at nursery at Spindle Point in Kearsely, told his dad: “Oh no, I love my Batman bike and I miss it already.”
Stuart added: “Sadly I have had no update from the police regarding the recovery of my car and obviously Luca’s bike.
“I am desperate for the return of my car but it would be amazing to see Luca reunited with his beloved Batman bike.”
Stuart is hoping that the thieves will be shamed into returning the bicycle and hopefully it will bring a smile back to Luca’s face.
