Hollywood actress and mum Malin Åkerman – best known for her roles in Watchmen, 27 Dresses and The Proposal – has teamed with King Digital Entertainment, a leading interactive entertainment company for the mobile world, to launch its new game, Paradise Bay. Bringing the tropical and relaxing themes of the game to life, together they have set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD® for the World’s Largest Hammock.
Paradise Bay is a new type of game for King Digital Entertainment, the creators of one of the biggest mobile game franchises of all time, Candy Crush. The company’s first non casual-puzzle game, Paradise Bay offers players immersive and strategic gameplay, allowing them to build a thriving seaport, trade and interact with an array of fun and friendly characters, and collect long-lost map pieces to discover new islands.
Paradise Bay offers players the ultimate escape; therefore to celebrate the launch, Malin has helped set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD® for the World’s Largest Hammock in Liberty State Park, New York. The ultimate symbol of relaxation and escapism, the hammock measures in at 65ft x 31ft – over 10 times the size of a regular hammock and large enough hold 1000 bass-sized fish, or 170 people of average size lying head to head, or even 24 New York City taxis nose to boot.
