The 2015/2016 season got underway for three of Beechfield United Junior Section teams.
In action against Bolton County Eagles were the Under 15’s Tornados who were without a few key players but Beechy quickly found their goal scoring touch and eventually hit double figures.
The goals were shared between Charlie James, Mason White, Travis Walker, Harry Cottrill and Joseph Furlong. There was a clean sheet for stand-in keeper Troy Walker who is normally a centre back.
The Under 15’s Predators made their debut in the Tameside Football League with a JFC Sports Division away fixture at Cheshire Phoenix. Dylan Durose (3) Man of the Match Brandon Kent (2) George Davies, Dylan Meredith, Jamie Pollitt and Keenan Switzer scored the goals as Beechy claimed all three points via a 9-1 victory.
In the Timperley and District Junior League the Under 16’s kicked off their campaign with an away game against Old Stretfordians and United twice recovered from a goal down to earn a creditable 2-2 draw. Tom Haslam received the Man of the Match Award and Bradley Wheeler and Jack Turner were on target for Beechy in this Division 3 contest.
