Salford Music Festival: Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 September – various venues

A unique festival with over 340 bands + DJs playing in many venues all across Salford over a 4 day period.

Showcasing the very best up and coming new bands, celebrating Salford’s many talented artists, proud musical history and its future on an international scale.

Bike Ride from Eccles Station: Saturday 26 September – 10am-12pm

A ride along the canals and old railway cycle lanes of Worsley and Eccles.

Meet at Eccles Train Station before heading off along Route 55 to discover this lovely, leafy ride.

Suitable for adults or families with children over 12 years old.

Incredible Edible Salford – Saturday 26 September – 9am-1pm

Looking for some outdoor activities this Saturday? Come and join Incredible Edible Salford’s volunteer day at Moss Lane Farm from 9am to 1pm.

BBC Radio Manchester will be broadcasting their morning show from the community garden at the farm. They need volunteers to help improve the garden and to transform it into an edible oasis.

FA Cup Qualifiers: Salford City FC v Curzon Ashton – Saturday 26 September -3pm kick off

Call in at Moor Lane and cheer along Salford City FC as they take on Curzon Ashton in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round match.

Admission £7, Concessions £2, Under 16s £1.

Canal, Camera, Action (Beginners) – Sunday 27 September – 10am – 12.30pm

Join professional photographer Chris Mattison on a journey along the Bridgewater Canal, capturing urban wildlife in unexpected places.

You’ll learn how to get the best out of your camera, plus hints and tips to take a great shot. This walk is perfect for beginners. Adults only, please bring a camera!

The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and will finish at Duke’s Drive, off Parrin Lane, Monton.

Walk starts at Barton Pocket Park, Barton Road, Eccles. This is a free event, just turn up.
