Salford weather: Rain forecast until Wednesday

The miserable weather is set to continue throughout this week as Met Office forecasters predict rain until Wednesday.

A weekend of strong sunshine and warm temperatures has dropped off as low pressure moves further north from the continent.

Mild nights are expected throughout the week, turning fresher as we head towards the weekend.

Monday will remain breezy with rain continuing northwards through the morning. Despite some heavy and thundery showers the air will feel warm and humid with a maximum temperature of 18°C.

Into Tuesday morning there are forecast longer spells of heavy and perhaps thundery rain, with temperatures sticking at around 16°C.

The weather is set to remain unsettled through the day, with some bright or sunny spells between the showers. Maximum temperature 19°C.

The rain is due to clear eastwards on Wednesday, with largely fine conditions following on for Thursday and Friday, when it will feel much cooler and fresher than earlier in the week.
