Biker suffers head injuries in Boothstown crash


A motorcyclist is recovering from head injuries after coming off his bike in Boothstown.

Police and emergency services were called to Boothshall Way near the Moorings pub on Thursday 16 April at 1.05pm.

Passersby reported the rider had fallen from his Suzuki at and was lying injured in the road.

The North West Air Ambulance was also scrambled to the canalside location.

The man was found to have head injuries and a suspected broken arm and treated at the scene by paramedics.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

He was taken to Salford Royal Hospital by road ambulance where he remains for treatment.

Boothshall Way was temporarily closed while emergency crews cleared away debris from the crash.
