Officers were called to Crescent Drive at 2.30am this morning, Sunday 27 September after reports a window has been smashed by a gunshot.

No-one was injured in the shooting, said Greater Manchester Police.

It’s understood that a single shot was fired at the window.

It’s not known whether anyone was inside the house at the time.

Police cordoned off the immediate area and put an officer on guard outside the property.

Crime Scene Investigators are due to attend later today to comb the scene for evidence.

“Officers attended and found damage consistent with a firearms discharge.

“No one was injured and no arrests have been made.”

It’s the latest in a series of house shootings in Little Hulton.

At least one bullet was fired through a first floor window.

Two boys age 17 and 18, and a 20-year-old man were later arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Information from the community was vital in securing the arrests, said detectives, who branded the shooting “a targeted incident” and unrelated to any other recent gunfire in Salford.

Police later raided a house on Mossbrook Drive in connection with that attack, arresting a 19-year-old and 20-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

All five were released on police bail to reappear on 9 October 2015.

Officers have not linked the two sets of attacks and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
