A 66-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was found at a house in Monton.
Police and crime scene investigators were called to Landsdowne Road in Monton, Eccles, at around 3.30am on Saturday 24 October.
They found the body of a 66-year-old woman.
The cause of death has not yet been established.
Detectives are treating the death as “potentially suspicious” and an investigation is ongoing.
A post-mortem is due to take place later this week.
The arrested man remains in police custody for questioning.
