Salford events firm Full Circle wins £460,000 funding

Exhibition and events contractor Full Circle Events & Exhibitions has secured £460,000 in bank funding after support from the Business Growth Hub.

Full Circle, whose northern headquarters are at Duncan Street in Salford, was founded in 2013 and supplies clients with bespoke exhibition and event builds.

The company currently has a turnover of £3.87m and employs 60 staff across its sites in Salford and London.

The funding has allowed the business to bring the manufacturing of exhibition equipment in house, as well as being able to go for larger contracts, winning new contracts worth in excess of half a million pounds.

Full Circle Events reports it is now aiming to hit £5.2m turnover next year, planning to take on more staff as well as expanding its apprentice workforce, which currently sits at four.

Helenya Jones, finance director at Full Circle Events, said: “The contribution the Hub have given us is a real boost to the business.

“We were in a tricky situation with our resources stretched and not allowing us to take on new business.

“The funding has allowed us to get back on track to achieve our growth plan we are starting to win new contracts with clients who typically would go to larger competitors, which is a great result.”

Richard Perkins, business growth advisor at Business Growth Hub, part of Manchester Growth Company, added: “Full Circle Events was having a problem with accessing the right kind of finance, as is the case for many SMEs.

“This significantly affected the cash flow of the business, stretching its creditors and meant it suffered from unattainable levels of demand from contracts.

“At the Hub, we have good relationships with the high-street banks, and many alternative lenders, and were able to use these to secure the company funding.

“It is important for SMEs to use the network around them in order to take advantage of the funding and growth opportunities around the region.”
