Firecrews from Agecroft, Broughton and Eccles were called to a a semi detached house on Waverley Road, Swinton at 6.27pm last night, Wednesday, 1 June.
A fire in a kitchen had spread, causing two people insidee the house to suffer from smoke inhalation.
The firecrew used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to tackle the flames and a ventilation fan.
They remained at the house for an hour until the property was safe to enter.
