Creamline proves it’s no stick in the mud for cancer charity

Creamline Dairies – the Trafford Park based family company – showed its mettle this week, taking on Race for Life’s Pretty Muddy obstacle course with a team of Creamline recruits, completing Tatton Park’s 5K challenge.

Showing cancer that hell hath no fury like a woman in pink, Creamline’s seven strong team raised an impressive £1,290 for the cancer charity. The event, which is held at Tatton Park, calls on people of all abilities and ages to join in, whether you can run, walk or even dance your way round the course.

Always ready to take on a challenge, especially when it comes to supporting a charity close to their hearts, the team was organised by Creamline’s Tracey Johnson, calling on her colleagues Adele Emerson, Debbie Hodgkinson, Marie Brown, Helen Partington and Claire Duxbury, as well as friend Holly Hall to help raise the four figure sum and tackle the course together.

Commenting on the team’s efforts, Adele Emerson, said: ‘It’s great to get involved in such a good cause and to have a really good laugh along the way! We were absolutely covered in mud but it was all worth it when we realised how much we raised and for such a great charity as Cancer Research, which does an amazing job at helping beat cancer”

Creamline has supported the ladies’ efforts by boosting the amount raised from £790 to £1,290, raising funds through its dairy local lottery scheme, which was launched by Creamline in 1990 with the sole aim of supporting good causes.

Committed to supporting the communities it serves, Creamline’s charity efforts have been recognised with a Business Masters award, winning the Pride/CSR accolade for their charity work, which along with the long-established Creamline Lottery, includes the Cream of the Community award – which was created by Creamline, to reward community spirited people living within Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
