A 43-year-old pickpocketer has today been jailed for two-and-a-half years after being found guilty of stealing from a 90-year-old woman in Swinton.
Helen Kiely preyed on numerous elderly victims throughout her crime spree.
The prolific offender was found guilty of five charges of theft and two charges of fraud at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday 15 July.
One woman was 90 years old, and was targeted while shopping at the Swinton Hall Road branch of Morrisons supermarket on 29 April 2015.
Kiely, from Levenshulme, was handed 30 months in prison with each sentence to run concurrently.
Police are still looking for any information on an attempted theft from a 72-year-old woman at the Swinton Morrisons on Friday 26 June.
