Police are investigating a Little Hulton stabbing which saw a man left in a serious condition in hospital.
Residents saw the Kenyon estate covered with police late on Saturday 8 August.
Officers arrived at a house on Grassland Rise, off Wildbrook Road, at around 10.15pm after reports of a disturbance involving two men.
One man was stabbed, while the other man had lacerations to his arm.
The man who was stabbed is is a serious but stable condition in hospital, his family confirmed this morning.
The second man with lacerations is also considered to be in a stable condition.
The incident is not being linked to a targeted stabbing in Lower Broughton, Salford on Saturday afternoon.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the Little Hulton stabbing, but enquiries are ongoing.
