SalfordOnline.com Photo Competition: Autumn Colours 2015

The leaves are starting to turn as the last vestiges of sun beat down on Salford: so get out there, and get snapping.

SalfordOnline.com has some of the most talented readers out there, contributing pictures on a daily basis to keep us the most relevant local newspaper in Salford.

Now it’s time to show off your skills by entering our Autumn Colours competition.

They can be landscape or portrait, featuring people, places, buildings or simply sunsets and nature, and taken with any kind of camera equipment.

In the interests of throwing it open to as wide a field as possible, you can use a digital camera, DSLR or even a drone if you like, but most entries are shot on mobile phones.

Entries must have been taken by you between Saturday 1 August and Thursday 15 October 2015, anywhere within the City of Salford.

Post your entries to our 13,000 member Facebook group, tag @salfordonline_insta on Instagram, tweet us @salfordonline or email your pic with the subject line ‘SalfordOnline.com Autumn Colours 2015’ to newsdesk@salfordonline.com.

If you’re posting to social media you can hashtag #autumnsalford.

Please include a location with your pictures, if possible. If there are people in your pictures, please get their permission and name them.

Once all the entries are in, a shortlist of 10 of the best will collected in a special gallery on SalfordOnline.com.

Voting will be open to the public in the comments section of that story.

The closing date for entries is Thursday 15 October 2015.

The shortlisted pictures will be published on Monday 19 October 2015 and voting will close on Friday 23 October 2015.

The winner will be announced on Monday 26 October 2015.

Any local businesses wishing to contribute prizes can contact editor@salfordonline.com.
