Art and Music at Eccles Town Hall – Saturday 18 April 2015 – 10am -1pm

Exhibition of art by talented local artists, aviation and motoring art by Peter Grove of Manchester Aviation Art Society and landscape painting by Bernard Marron of Northorpe Painting Group, plus virtuoso jazz and classical piano music by Eileen Guppy.

Cafe open for teas/coffee, homemade cakes, soup and lunches.

Free admission.

Extreme adventurer runner Sean Conway – Saturday 18 April – Buile Hill Park, Salford – 10am

Extreme endurance adventurer Sean Conway is currently running from John O’Groats to Land’s End in his bid to become the first person to complete the Ultimate British Triathlon, having already swum and cycled the 1,000 mile route.

Here is your chance to run a mile with Sean by meeting him at 10am as he passes through Salford.

Hannah Payton Charity Bag Pack – Saturday 18 April – ASDA, Swinton – 10am -6pm

Call in at ASDA Swinton and donate a couple of quid to help Hannah Payton, the Down Syndrome Champion swimmer,  to help her get to the Special Olympics in France this June.

Political Hustings Debate – Saturday 18 April – Ellesmere Shopping Centre, Walkden – 11am – 2pm

Have your say to local Parliamentary candidates for the Worsley and Eccles South seat who will answer questions in front of a live audience.

School places, crime and transport will be among the hot topics.

Manchester Marathon – Sunday 19 April – Salford Quays – 9am – late.

Call down to Salford Quays and cheer on the marathon runners in this years Greater Manchester Marathon.
