Morson Group champions GB boxing talent

Morson Group were a proud sponsor of North West athlete Nathan Gorman as he secured another knockout defeat during his second professional boxing contest.

19-year-old Nathan, from Nantwich in Cheshire, took on Poland’s Jakub Wojcik at Walsall Town Hall during his recent victory. Nathan, who trains at South Cheshire ABC, was also a proud representative for his country after he was hand selected for the Great Britain squad during his rise to professional boxing.

Nathan, who competed and won in the AIBA Youth World Champions 2014, is committed to his five day a week training programme which involves specialist boxing techniques on pads, as well as circuit and cardio training.

Nathan has also been hailed the next big thing in boxing by former British professional boxer Ricky Hatton MBE, whose career highlights include holding the WBA, IBF, IBO and The Ring magazine light-welterweight titles. Nathan believes the support from Ricky and his sponsor Morson has greatly improved his confidence.

Nathan Gorman said: “The sponsorship I have received from Morson Group has been great and I can’t thank them enough for their support. I will now be returning to my training and preparing for my next fight and pursuing my ultimate career goal of making it as a world champion.”

Ged Mason, CEO of Morson Group, added: “Morson are proud to offer sponsorship and support to local talent, as well as encouraging the drive and ambition of young athletes who are aiming to go to the top of their fields.”
