A man and a young child escaped injury last night after their house on Kingsford Street in Weaste, Salford, was hit by a petrol bomb attack.
Fire crews and ambulances were called to the quiet residential street at 11.25pm last night, Sunday 26 July.
It’s understood an unknown offender threw the incendiary device at the front door of the terraced property.
A neighbour was alerted to the blaze and came round to put the fire out.
The door was damaged but the man and child were not injured in the attack.

Local residents reported seeing armed police on the street, but police were unable to confirm this morning.
No arrests have yet been made.
Greater Manchester Police were unable to confirm whether the incident was related to the shooting of Paul Massey in Clifton last night.
