Salford Super 8: Squad up for Bradford clash

Salford Red Devils acting head coach Ian Watson has named his 19-man squad for Sunday’s Super 8 away clash with Bradford Bulls.

Club captain Harrison Hansen and Josh Griffin don’t make the list due to injury, but Weller Hauraki makes his return after a few weeks on the side lines.

Reni Maitua misses this weekend’s tie after picking up a one-match suspension for a dangerous tackle on Leigh’s Jake Emmett.

It’s exciting times for Devils Under-19s captain Ryan Lannon, who replaces Maitua.

It’s not the first time Ryan’s been asked to step up to the first team, having made four appearances from the bench this season.

Jake Mullaney looks set to return for Bradford against his former club on Sunday afternoon, along with Alex Mellor. The pair takes the places of injured duo Lee Gaskell and Matt Ryan.

Salford have two Super 8 wins under their belt, turning over Leigh Centurions 46-18 and beating Wakefield 34-26.
