Over 150 people came out in Swinton to remember schoolboy Cameron Cash, who was tragically killed in a traffic accident in 2012.
14-year-old Cameron died just yards from his home, when he was hit by a car while trying to cross the A580 East Lancs Road on the evening of 22 September 2012.
Supporters met up at the spot where he died, lighting candles at the roadside and the footbridge of the A580.
People started to arrive at around 7pm on Tuesday 22 September, with numbers increasing up until 8.12pm – the time Cameron sadly passed away that fateful night.
It’s become an annual vigil to the popular teenager, who attended Moorside High School in Swinton.

Mum Sharon Wylde told SalfordOnline.com: “I was just really overwhelmed with the amount of people who still remembered Cameron 3 years on and came to light a candle in his memory.
“All of his school friends were there which is a great testament to who Cameron was.
“On behalf of our family I’d just like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who came to remember my son.”
Cameron’s death sparked an investigation by Salford City Council and after Sharon’s campaign, the speed limit on a 3.7-mile section of the road was dropped from 50mph to 40mph.
But the family was determined that his death would not be in vain, and set about fundraising with the intention to donate money to deserving local projects.
Over £5,500 was handed to Swinton FC, where Cameron played as a child.
In May this year Sharon visited the Kenyon Residents’s Association in Little Hulton to hand over a whopping £1,000, while the Valley gardening group in Swinton got £1,500 and Swinton Childminders were handed £200.
In 2012 Ryan Giggs helped unveiled a special bench in Cameron’s memory at his local football club.
